Some of you probably know the backstory behind this photo but for those who don't, this photo was supposedly taken by Steven Morrissey (yes THAT Morrissey) at a gig in 1976 in Manchester at the Electric Circus. Apparently this show was The Anarchy tour featuring The Sex Pistols, The Clash and Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers.
Morrissey was a huge NY Dolls fan, so he was probably geeking out seeing Johnny Thunders and Jerry Nolan casually hanging out nearby that he had to snap a photo. Another thing to observe in this photo is to the left of Jerry Nolan in the far background beneath the Bob Seger and Deep Purple posters is supposedly Joe Strummer of The Clash. |

^ That's a good one, Plankton! Interesting to see him as a clueless nerd instead of in his usual black.
Wilson Picket and Duane Allman, clearly enjoying each other's company:-

Robert Smith (The Cure) and Ian Curtis (Joy Division). Smith crouched down on the floor against the wall in the far background with a cup in hand beneath the Union Jack flag. Ian Curtis at the right, forefront of the photo conversing with a female in a long polka dotted skirt.

I like your pictures, Farewell; snapshots of musicians just hanging out together are among the most interesting imo. I also like the fact that you take the trouble to explain to everybody who it is we are looking at. (*ahem* Plankton)
Here's a nice pic of two musicians sharing an informal moment: On left, Robert Fripp (who first rose to fame as main King Crimson guy) and Adrian Belew (stint in King Crimson/ played with David Bowie/ solo career too). What I like about the photo is that they look like a pair of unassuming guys that you might pass in the street without noticing - they just happen to be exceptionally imaginative guitarists too.

My apologies, Lisna. That would be the inimitable Marc Rebillet:

^ Thanks Plankton! That video does a lot to explain the photo. I thought the song started out well too, but it made me a bit uncomfortable when the lyrics took an unnecessarily explicit turn!

lol
I honestly had never heard that song until today too, but when I went looking through his stuff for an example, the title fit so well. Here's a better, less cringey example of his craft: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZmtl3l1R9A
