Cool New York City 1976-1984 Appreciation Thread

YouTube - Bush Tetras - Too Many Creeps

YouTube - RAMONES - I Don't Wanna Walk Around With You / Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue - CBGB 1977

YouTube - The Cramps - The Foreigner Amos Poe 1978

YouTube - James Chance & The Contortions - Twice Removed

love the whole aesthetic of this scene. Dirty, sleazy, junkie-chic. Graffiti covering every surface. Great music, great art. Just an explosion of creativity around this time. I wish new york was still like this

I do too, but you can still find that grime in certain places, back then it was overrunning the country.

Theres always Detroit.
