My selection is based on either albums I own by said bands or ones I've heard right through via other sources.
Bear in mind I've not necersarily heard all albums by all the artists. So for that reason I'll reserve my judgement for future times. Saying all that... Like you actually give a ****. Nonsense, but fun. Oasis 1 - Definately Maybe 2 - The Masterplan 3 - What's The Story 4 - Stop the Clocks (Best of...) 5 - Heathen Chemistry Madness 1 - One Step Beyond 2 - The Rise & Fall 3 - Absolutely 4 - Complete Madness (best of...) 5 - Seven Blancmange 1 - Happy Families 2 - Mange Tout Soundtrack Albums 1 - Quadrophenia 2 - Pulp Fiction 3 - Resiorvoir Dogs 4 - Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels 5 - Forrest Gump Jeff Buckley 1 - Grace 2 - Mystery White Boy Beck 1 - Odeley 2 - Mellow Gold 3 - Mutations 4 - The one with Sexx Laws! Stone Roses 1 - Self Titled 2 - Second Coming 3 - Complete Stone Roses Love 1 - Forever Changes 2 - Self Titled 3 - De Capo 4 - Love Four Sail Pink Floyd 1 - Dark Side of the Moon 2 - Wish you were here 3 - Meddle 4 - Atom Heart Mother 5 - Relics 6 - Songs to Dance to (nm chk) 7 - The Wall 8 - Animals 9 - Umagumma Bob Marley & The Wailers 1 - Uprising 2 - Catch a Fire 3 - Survival 4 - Exodus 5 - Babylon by Bus (live album) Easy Easy All Stars 1 - Dub Side of the moon 2 - radio Dread 3 - Sergeant Peppers Live Albums 1 - Woodstock 2 - Live At Leeds (The Who) I was enjoying that... sadly my wife awakening has hastened my depature toward the Kettle for a spot of Tea... Hasta Pronto! |

Here's my opinion on The Clash...
London Calling> S/T (UK and US versions combined) > Super Black Market Clash > Combat Rock > Give 'Em Enough Rope > Sandinista > Cut the Crap Super Black Market Clash is a Compilation that spans most of their history, true, but the scope of the music in my opinion is classic. Blur
Modern Life Is Rubbish > Parklife = The Great Escape > 13 > Think Tank > Blur > Midlife > Bustin' and Dronin' > Leisure > The Best Of I know, cheating a bit, but I sometimes view Parklife and Great Escape on the same level kind of like The Beatles' Rubber Soul and Revolver. Almost like two great parts to a story. True, Bustin' and Dronin' is a Mix compilation with other artists remixing parts of the S/T album, but in a way it serves something of a precursor to Damon's post-Blur musical adventures as well as having a bit of a short Peel Acres blast. Inspiral Carpets The Singles (1995 Compilation) = Greatest Hits > Revenge of the Goldfish > Life > Devil Hopping > The Beast Inside The Singles may not be chronological, but to me starts off with some of the best A-Sides, although those who like things in order would rather go for Greatest Hits. Humm, Inspiral carpets...Singles...Roadie Noel Gallagher...this could only mean one band next... Oasis Definitely Maybe > The Masterplan = Time Flies > (What's the Story) Morning Glory? > Dig Out Your Soul > Stop the Clocks > Familiar to Millions > Don't Believe the Truth > Standing on the Shoulder of Giants > Heathen Chemistry > Be Here Now Again, another Tie up/Two Part Story here. Oasis were one hell of a single's band. The Masterplan a classic compilation which caps their best years and Time Flies, reminders of why we still talk about their music. Julian Cope (Up to 1995)
Peggy Suicide > World Shut Your Mouth = Fried > Saint Julian > 20 Mothers > Skellington > Autogeddon > Droolian > My Nation Underground WSYM = Fried - The two Mercury albums really are equal in my view. If he did not go to recording more great albums or interesting side projects, it would be WSYM > Fried, but retrospectively thinking now, it's equal. Good to see another fan! The Teardrop Exolodes are one of the most underrated bands ever. I think I might be the only fan on here. He's a great songwriter. Bouncing Babies is a song everyone has to love, or I hate them.
