Inspiring young lads to pick up guitars because Oasis knew they were poor musicians but they had the get up and go attitude. You don't have to be Jimi Hendrix to write some tunes. They stood for some good things. The fact Liam Gallagher has always been a cock is a down side, especially now. An old man trying to stay relevant by throwing Brit awards into the crowd. Charging over the odds for shit clothes. Tosser.

Genesis (Shapes) is the last good Genesis album, though Invisible Touch does have one great song, Land of Confusion, the last shining moment in the band's declining career. We Can't Dance was a real embarrassment, but at least the videos for Jesus He Knows Me and I Can't Dance are fun to watch. Everyone should see Phil Collins' Michael Jackson impersonation at least once before they die. Quote:

I enjoy it for what it is...ranking it compared to other psych records it is way up there on my list. Comparing it to other Floyd albums, however, it doesn't match up. That doesn't mean I don't like it.
Ah, I just forgot it. Put it between A Hard Day's Night and Beatles for Sale. I was never a huge fan of the Beatles' poppier stuff, so those albums are pretty ambiguous in how I ranked them. Quote:

The music for An American Prayer is actually really damn good...the only reason I rank it last is because it doesn't feel like a real Doors record. More like Jim Morrison's farewell in a way.
