Volume 4 is far too low. They never successfully mixed progression with heaviness as well as they did on that album with anything else they did.

born in the '50's is pretty terrible and be my girl is like a song to listen to once or whatever but synchronicity is just ugh "mother" is far and away the worst song in their catalogue synchronicity I is annoying synthpop walking in your footsteps is a boring experiment every breath you take is completely terrible and irritating king of pain gets old fast tea in the sahara is just all-around badness wrapped around your finger is obtuse bullshit ghost in the machine is ok but there's most crap on there, too every little thing she does is magic makes me ill whenever i hear it zenyatta is a hell of an album and regatta isn't far behind

So I like albums you dont and you take that as a personal insult, seriously you act this way all the damn time and it's getting irritating. Aside from Mother, I love all the songs on Sync and I consider it their most consistant work, and the fact that it is also their most diverse and experimental is all the more impressive.
Tea in the Sahara a bad song? WTF YOU MAD?? One of the highlights of the album by far. Walking in Your Footsteps, Every Breath You Take, King of Pain, Synchronicity and and Wrapped Around your Fingers are solid as well. Though best songs on the album are O My God, Synchroncity II and Murder by Numbers. And do you have any idea what synth pop is? Dont throw around genre terms if you don't even know what they mean, Synchronicity I doesn't even have any synths on it, and it has a really odd structure that you never hear in pop songs, it's not at all synth pop. And if you think Ghost in the Machine is mostly crap then I don't know what to say. What kind of Police fan are you? Every Little Thing is a good pop song but not one of the highlights. Spirits in the Material World, Invisible Sun, Too Much Information, Rehumanize Yourself, Omegaman, come the f*ck on. Last edited by boo boo; 06-13-2010 at 06:49 PM. |

Alice In Chains
S/T>Dirt>MTV UNPLUGGED>Jar Of Flies>Facelift>Sap Many will disagree with me putting S/T ahead of Dirt, but S/T just does more for me. I perfer the heavier more sluggish Alice. 'Grind' is one of my favorite album openers of all time! Soundgarden Down On The Upside>Badmotorfinger>Superunknown>Louder Than Love>Ultramega OK Pearl Jam Riot Act>Vs.>No Code>Vitalogy>Ten>Binaural>S/T>Yield>Backspacer Oasis Be Here Now>Definitely Maybe>Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants>Morning Glory>Don't Believe The Truth>Heathen Chemistry>Dig Out Your Soul |

Anyway, what are your favorites on Vol 4? My favorite is Cornucopia, which has possibly the most kickass Sabbath riff ever. |
