Someone do Buckethead, and include Death Cube K, special releases, his extended play, etc. That totals to 38 albums, one being 13 disks long.

So what's the deal?
I just find the album a little boring overall, nothing really jumps out as awesome. Plus it really falls off towards the end, into nothingness. I suppose I should give it another spin soon since it's heard to really say what I don't like about it. And really it's not that I don't like it, it just doesn't move me much. And I think that's probably the case for many BoC fans that "trash" it. I'm sure they don't actually hate it.

Well, you haven't trashed it...but people are very harsh on that album. Aside from that, there are rumors of a new album this year so fingers crossed for that. I can't wait to hear where they are headed now.

Solid list, but Quadrophenia is way too low and Who Are You is way too high. I'd change some middle stuff too, guess mine would be

Quadrophenia > Who's Next > Tommy > The Who Sell Out > A Quick One > My Generation > Odds & Sods >>>>>>>> The Who By Numbers >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Who Are You >>>> Other stuff

XTC

Drums and Wires > Black Sea > Go 2 > The Big Express > English Settlement > White Music

Haven't listened to their later stuff yet.

I don't know your reason for disliking them, but...
Most people seem to dislike them for the lyrical content, which I agree seems to be trying way too hard to be epic, to the point that it just sounds ridiculous.
Others dislike them for the fact that they speed up the guitar tracks in the studio, but they don't as much as people think. They may speed it up like 10-20 bpm, but never much more than that. The reson for this is probably the simple fact that studio recording is expensive and it's better to record the track after 3 takes at 120 bpm, than to record 5 takes at 140 bpm. As I said before, the lyrics are overly epic, but the guitar compliments that very well.
I dont think they are the best band (or anywhere close). Atleast (hopefully) you have given them a chance, and I think we'd actually find alot of common ground between us musically, so don't judge my tastes based on a single band.
