Remission has infinitely more raw power than Leviathin. Remission is Mastodon at its finest in my opinion. Years from now I believe people will look back at Mastodon's catolog and realize that Remission was the most honest expression of their music. Even if they don't .. I will. Leviathin is also a good album - their 2nd best. But I think that Remission is the true face of the band. Before they knew exactly what they were doing musically but working on pure instinct. This was way the hell before they knew how to make money from the response to their music; they just knew what they liked.

Pixies
Surfer Rosa > Doolittle > Bossanova > Trompe le Mond I don't even know why I bother writing this, the only thing that could possibly change spots are Surfer and Doolittle. Yeah Yeah Yeahs Show Your Bones > IsIs > Fever to Tell > S/T> Where the wild things are OST (if that counts)> Its Blitz |

Excellent lineup, and kudos for having the balls/foresight to put that near the top.
