maybe it's because i was already listening to all their 'new' influences by the time this came along, maybe i'm just jaded; but i still can't listen to this whole album from start to finish without skipping a few tracks.

everything in its right place / the national anthem / optimistic / morning bell = glorious EP. everything else on the album is either forgettable or filler.

Perhaps.

Actually, I might be able to stretch it to a 7" with "Piano Man" on one side and "Only the Good Die Young" on the other.

"Movin' out (Anthony's Song)" is a great one, that I didn't even realize was a Billy Joel song until a year or so ago.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

As I mentioned before I do like "Only the Good Die Young". "Still Rock 'n' Roll to Me" isn't bad either but I can kind of take it or leave it. The other three I don't like at all.

Though I would never touch the album, that would be a pretty great EP.

I think he meant to type "though it would never touch the album".

Because you felt the album needed to be touched. Like I said, I wouldn't change it in any way, but that still would be a good EP.

gotcha i thought you meant touch physically - like how i was with Pablo Honey after i picked it up way too late. i played it once then physically refused to touch the disc after taking it out of my stereo and packing it into a box of cds before moving to away for school.

one day another classmate was going through my discs and pulled it out. i refused to allow him to put it back. i was finally free! hahaha
