The Residents - N/A I've only heard a few albums out of the dozens they've released so I'm not going to vote.
Iron Maiden - Yes. They are certainly a huge force in metal music, inspiring musicians through today, and were the greatest metal band from that whole NWOBHM. I don't like a lot of that scene, but there's something special about them. Jimi Hendrix - Yes... CCR - They are, imo, the gods of southern rock. A genre where I have a hard time finding artists I truly love. They just make the greatest feel good, down south rock that I've ever heard, and have a huge influence that I think is often overlooked. MOB - N/A. I'm really indecisive, I can't decide if they deserve it or not. Beethoven - N/A. I don't listen to classical music. Of course I know some of his songs, but I haven't heard much to compare him to and it's all very neutral to me. |

The Residents: Yes, basically for the reasons Anteater stated
Iron Maiden: Yes, of course there's a place for the premier band of metal. Few bands are as influential, widely liked, hardworking, consistent and devoted as them. They played a big part in my high school life and I hope to see them live one day. Jimi Hendrix: Yes, and I don't think this needs an explanation. Creedence Clearwater Revival: Yes. I've listened to CCR for a long time and they seem to have this extraordinary ability to pump out classic after classic. But they were more than just big hits - they have a string of solid studio albums and Cosmo's Factory is stellar. Mission of Burma: No. I like the band but they're not HOF material IMO. Ludwig Van Beethoven: Yes. I don't bust out the Ludwig Van as often as I'd like but I've always been a fan, ever since I was a kid.

They certainly have Southern aspects, like being born on the bayou, or riding river boats.

The Residents - Abstain.
Iron Maiden - No, because even though they are widely regarded as very influential musicians I've never really been a huge fan. Jimi Hendrix - Yes... if I believed in God he'd be a black, left-handed guitarist. Creedence Clearwater Revivial - Abstaining because I'm not really into southern-esque rock but I haven't really listened to enough. Mission of Burma - Abstain Ludwig Van Beethoven - No, because although he is a highly regarded classical musician I've never really heard anyone on MB mention him until now and this IS the MB Hall of Fame. I never really got into Beethoven as much as I did with other classical artists either. |

The Residents - N/A
Iron Maiden - Yes, I nominated them, like them or not, you can't help but know they are influential, one of the best metal bands, and still going strong after 30+ years. Jimi Hendrix - Yes. Like everyone said he is a god. Still inspiring teens around the world to get off their lazy ass, stop playing Guitar Hero, and pick up a real guitar. Creedence Clearwater Revival - Yes, They might not be something special but in my opinion they have not put out a dull album, and have some good tunes. Mission of Burma - No, I didn't know much about the band, put I pulled them up, an they just failed to amuse me. Ludwig Van Beethoven - Yes. Are You Kidding Me? |
