I've been aware of him all my life.

When I was a little kid I used to have this hard nut biker living next door to me who was a massive Rainbow fan & introduced that band to me.

Years later Live Evil and Heaven & Hell were the first Sabbath albums I ever heard.
That opening riff to Neon Knights, Now is that an f*cking introduction to a band or what?

I didn't even know Ozzy Osbourne used to be in Sabbath at that point so as far as I was concerned Dio WAS their singer, and I still have a soft spot for the albums he recorded with them.

His solo stuff never really did much for me but it's a shame he's not around anymore.
