Glad to turn anyone on to Dessa, False Hopes and A Badly Broken Code are both brilliant. And Doomtree in general if you have never looked into them.

Local Natives- Airplanes

Just an absolutely blissful folky pop tune.

No particular order.

Los Campesinos!- Coda: A Burn Scar In the Shape of the Sooner State
Paul Baribeau- Eight Letters
Shearwater- Black Eyes
Titus Andronicus- No Future Part 3: Escape from No Future
Owen Pallett- Lewis Takes Off His Shirt
The National- Bloodbuzz Ohio
The Hold Steady- Soft in the Center
Horse Feathers- Heaven's No Place
Yeasayer- O.N.E

I have a lot of 2010 albums, but I haven't given a lot of them repeat listens yet.

I was just coming to add something from that album. Probably either that one, "The Sweet Part of the City," or "We Can Get Together."

And I'm in the same boat with you there. It's been a good year so far--a lot of things to take up my attention.

It's funny because prior to last night, I had absolutely no clue who Dessa was. Then as I am driving along the street, listening to 90.5 KUT-Austin, they play one of her songs (I can't tell you which one.) What makes it more interesting is that (as by Wikipedia, Dessa is hip-hop) this station rarely plays any hip-hop music, generally just alternative country, a little jazz, "indie" rock and some psychedelic rock. I thought it was rather cool that I knew who she was though!

That Joanna Newsom song was really beautiful. Mind telling me what album it's on?
