You really gross me out sometimes.
You didn't have a good start in life with that music taste, but at least you managed to evolve since then

I remember reading somewhere on here, a post from you and you said "See, I don't hate all Indie" which made me think you were anti-Indie. I've been meaning to ask why? I still enjoy AC/DC Queen now and again. I hardly ever listen to 'Talica though.

I'm not obsessed with them but c'mon, Dirt is the whole shebang man.

The only grunge bands I'd say I'm more than a moderate fan of are Nirvana and Pearl Jam. But overall I find grunge to be a pretty legit movement. Mudhoney were pretty groovy too.

Ah, I stopped doing that a while back.

I enjoy a lot of indie bands and mostly what I was talking about was the status of indie music and the elitist attitude of indie fans.

That being said, I think a lot of (not all of) modern indie music is unbearable crap. I'd rather stick my wang into a toaster than listen to a LCD Soundsystem album.

The attitude of them? What's wrong with their attitudes? I think some have an air of self importance because they believe what their listening to is so cool because it's so unheard of.. Both that's just a few of them.

The Libertines and Arctic Monkeys (even though I love both) did start a chain reaction of talentless Indie bands so I can agree with you there.

LCD Soundsystem's debut ain't half bad that said I don't think they can be classed as Indie.. Dance-Punk.

Another thread where people moan about acca dacca... Original. I wonder how the young brothers and co sleep at night.

Pearl jam were never grunge they just get lumped in with it cuz they from Seattle and emerged in the early 90's. They are and always have been "classic rock"

I was talking more about from the American side. I detest post punk revivalism, all the twee bullcrap, a lot of the boring indie folk (Bright Eyes being one of the biggest offenders) and I'm not sold on dance punk either.

And whatever Animal Collective and Joanna Newsom are, I'm sure they get a lot of radio play in the 9 circles of hell. I hear them being referred to as the "evolution" of music, makes me want to be a creationist. <_<

Ah, well we have a culture clash there. I dunno what you're talking about on that side of things. I just know some people here seem to have a self importance because of what they listen to.

No love for Animal Collective?

Actually, some of the stuff I've heard from their new album is not too bad. Nice psychedelic vibe to it.

But goddamn, what I've heard from Strawberry Jam was really f*cking terrible.

I quite like Strawberry Jam but I agree that PMP is their best work to date. Even though some may say Feels is.

I'm by no means a grunge fan but the claim in the OP is just silly.
