I dont know ...but seriously I guess it would actually depends on the individual musician that plays the part as a leader and the conductor for any certain band in particular as to who would play an important part.
As a bass player and lead vocalist myself I could verse a bias opinion by insisting on a good drummer that is the timing and heart & soul of the basic rythm section.
I tried not to give a biased opinion by giving the lead vocals second but..who am I to say.
There are just so many reasons for the importance of each position, drums bass, etc. I could go on & on...
I guess the most important thing for me is to simply keep it all in Fun and enjoy yourself and try not to make to serious.
