It was a hard list to make I left out several female post punk bands as well, but those are tops. I might replace Crass with Lilliput though. I never really listened to a lot of Siouxsie, maybe I should get on that

It's cliched but the debut 'The Scream' is essential. Love that album. As good as Joy division in it's own way.

Top 5 XTC Songs From the Post-Punk-ish Era (Unranked) (As Of Right This Moment)
Sgt. Rock (Is Going to Help Me) Real by Reel Helicopter Meccanik Dancing (Oh We Go!) Making Plans For Nigel Nobody ever mentions it when they talk about Low, at least in my experience. The whole album is brilliant but that's definitely my favorite song off of it.
