That reminds me, my friend had Explosions In The Sky - Song For Our Fathers at his funeral :(

Seeing as it's my favorite season and it's coming up...

Top 5 albums for the Fall (or Autumn)

5 Talk Talk - Laughing Stock
4 This Will Destroy You - S/T
3 Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde
2 John Fahey - The Transfiguration of Blind Joe Death
1 Explosions in the Sky - The Rescue (serious nostalgic value. Not a particular favorite of mine, but around Fall, I can't keep my hands off of it.)

i am slowly being learned in the genre lines, so i wasnt really sure what to put for that, around here Linkin Park and Three Days Grace are considered emo because some of their songs talk about suicide, but then i went in the emo music section and saw they werent there, so i was a bit confuzzled.

Yeah people think just because a band's lyrics deal with personal issues that makes it emo. COMPLETE NONSENSE. Most musicians' lyrics deal with personal issues on some level. Set your friendds straight! :)

Really like that list, love that you included An Horse, what a fabulous band. (Who were amazing opening for Tegan and Sara by the way)

Strongly agree. That's where I first experienced them.

The White Stripes?

Also, somebody mentioned Tweak Bird in another thread and I think you should check them out:

I like some White Stripes but they're far from my top 5. Knew someone would mention them.

The Tweak Bird song was alright, something I think I'd probably appreciate more live. Almost too Wolfmother-ey for me.
