Top 5 creepy/disturbing songs in no particular order:

Swans - Nobody
Sonic Youth - Protect Me You
Einsturzende Neubauten - Halber Mensch
Throbbing Gristle - Hamburger Lady
Diamanda Galas - The Litanies of Satan (well it's not exactly a song, but it's the creepiest piece of music I've ever heard)

^ Nice choices, although I'd have gone for Slug Bait myself when it comes to Throbbing Gristle - listen to it, read along to lyrics and you won't sleep for weeks!

^Oh, yes you're right, I totally forgot Slug Bait. But I always react to the atmosphere that the music creates first and after that to the words, so Hamburger Lady is creepier to me musically. The only exception are Swans. With them I react to the music and the words at once. I guess it's because of Gira's slow, hypnotic and authoritative 'singing' that commands you to listen to him.

Despite my outright hatred for Hole, nice list!

I might have added some Sleater-Kinney but thats just me.

Ah, I love Hole! I understand they probably have a smaller fanbase in comparison to people that dislike them though haha! Most people dislike them cos of Courtney, but if you put her past wankery aside, their music is very good.

Elastica, The Distillers, Be Your Own Pet and No Doubt are all good bands too.

good choices (i've not heard the last one though)... I have to say I agree with Hamburger Lady as the Throbbing Gristle choice, very disturbing song. I'd possibly add Suicide's Frankie Teardrop to your list in place of Diamanda Galas, and just call it my own
