And talking of albums I'm looking forward to... Top 5 artists I'd love to see a new album by soon but most likely won't: 1. David Bowie [for 7 years I've been checking on BowieNet for news practically every day, and still no joy. Not even a rumour for fucks sake] 2. Scott Walker [notoriously quiet between albums, hasn't released anything since an instrumental EP in 2007. Absolutely nothing on the news front] 3. Dead Can Dance [Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry just can't seem to iron out their personal/creative differences, even after almost 15 years] 4. Zola Jesus [a full-length album - her last one was easily one of my favourites of 2009, so I'd love to listen to a substantial amount of new material] 5. Bat For Lashes [^ see 4] ^ For all I know, 4 and 5 could have new albums on the way. As for 1-3, there's basically no chance of seeing anything new from them...at least not for a year or two. |

1. Boards Of Canada (They've been quiet for 5 years. SPEAK UP, BOYS!) 2. Battles (Ty left the band) 3. This Town Needs Guns (Eh, no news yet.) 4. Amon Tobin (I'm thinking 2011, not 2010.) 5. Aphex Twin (He's probably never going to release anything.) Last edited by Dayvan Cowboy; 08-13-2010 at 06:53 PM. |
