Well yeah, that's what I was getting at...not that you had a problem with the country, but that you thought there was no good music coming out of Canada. As for Australia, I know far fewer bands from there so I couldn't put the two on the same level.

When I hear Canada I think of Nickelback, Sum 41 and Rush..

Never even heard of that band

Rush get my vote, but after that I would go with New Pornographers, definitely one of the best indie bands of the past decade.

But one band I'd like to promote are Harmonium, a French Canadian symphonic rock band from 73/78, and the best canuck prog band after Rush. Though IMO Dixie is better than anything Rush has ever done.

No way. those are not the best bands in canda RUSH is alright. but it aint my style. but my favorite band from CANADA has to be ISKRA
