He just couldn't be **** enough to say "hey man, I cannot afford to pay you to do nothing on tour."

He'd have been fine if he didn't employ all his friends from home. Decent guy though.

Peter Ham and Tom Evans, both from Badfinger it wasn't the fame they weren't cut out for but the financial side of the music business, but of course if they weren't famous they would've never ran into Stan Polley.

(John Squire rmeinds me of Chris Squire who reminds me of Steve Howe who reminds me of Joe Meek)

Joe Meek, interesting guy, produced and wrote Telstar, went on to produce groups during the 60's like the Syndicats w/ Steve Howe on guitar. He died on February 3rd, the same day Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J. P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson died.

I don't think Maynard James Keenan is really cut out for fame. And he definitely knows it and handles it so well! He manipulates his fame to make a statement and has found a perfect balance of publicity and privacy.

Instead of embracing it, like paul, he slowly destroyed himself (with drugs, really. and i'm not talking about recreational use or a cute little addiction). After the beatles broke up, he disappeared for awhile. he was at an all time low at the end of the bealtes. his heroin addiction was destroying him, yoko had a miscarriage, and he felt as if he was selling out by being in the beatles. Plus he was divorcing his wife and never got to see his son. his contribution to let it be was minimal, with "Across the Universe" being his only real contribution.
In reality it was Yoko who saved him. Sure he was like a dog on a leash with her, but she gave so much to him. After the beatles break up, he settled down, escaped the spotlight for a while, and started a family with Yoko, being a true father to his son sean.
Unlike cobain, he didn't kill himself. In the end, he was happy. but i think his life would have been a lot better had he never joined the beatles or achieved the fame he did. but i'm selfish and am glad he did.
his story was really sad. i could go into it in a lot more detail (i actually wrote a paper on him a couple years ago).
I don't think he was cut out for the fame.
newsflash everyone has family problems, when it came to actual fame he handled it very well, he social problems are just because he's weird
