First album you ever owned and first band you ever loved.
Searched an noticed there wasn't a thread on this. Thought it'd be interesting to see what people's first albums were, and what the first band people loved. Whether it's the same artist as the first album bought.
First album: First love: Oasis EDIT: added point.. Can everyone say whether they still like their first love? I still like Oasis but don't listen to them like I did. Last edited by TheCunningStunt; 04-10-2010 at 12:02 AM. |

first album:
((when I was a little kid, I would listen to this album EVERY DAY on the way to school, and if we had a four hour road trip, I would listen to it five or six times then. I basically listened to it whenever I got the chance, and it drove my siblings crazy. They didn't hate the album, you just can't listen to the same thing 1,000,000 times. I wonder how I stayed sane)) first band I got into: ((I remember first discovering Guns 'N Roses, and I got appetite, lies, and the illusions within a few months. Every little scream, little riff, little wah-wah, note in a solo, hit of a drum, and every detail seemed perfect; and it was Slash that made me pick up guitar...)) |

Not bad for 5th grade I guess. And Yes I still like Blink 182 to an extent. Enema of the state will get a play every once in a while when I'm in the modd but I'm a fan of Dude Ranch and Cheshire Cat. I guess I was kinda of iinto weezer back then too. Still just as obsessed with them if not more. |

There were albums and singles before this I thnk, but this was the frst album that was ever completely mine rather than something i borrowed or stole from my sister. Yes, I still like it. It has some stinkers on it like Heal The World but also some solid tracks. First gutar-driven band I ever developed a liking for and so probably started my love of music from that point on. |
