I think I was given this when I was like 8:

But I didn't even listen to it for a long time afterward. First band I ever loved... probably The Beatles (yeah yeah).

Who gave you Nirvana when you were 8?

Must be the same person who gave me Blood Sugar Sex Magik when I was 9.

You my friend are a king amonst men.

I'm the same as you, don't really listen to them anymore. Not through me thinking I've outgrown them or whatever. Just never get the argue to listen to them like I did say - 8 months ago. They are the reason I learnt guitar.

Can't stand Standing on the Shoulders Of Giants. Be Here Now got slated by for an Oasis fan it was great even if you knew it really shite in reality it was great to you. Overproduced overhyped.

I got to see them for the first time a couple of months before the split which was nice. You seen them live? How many times?

My first love (also the third record I ever owned):

Still probably my favorite record (but for different reasons).

Also, I've not heard in such a long time, probably 15+ years...this shall be rectified.

Inspired by my older sister, this was the first album I owned. On cassette. Word. Read my journal for all the details on this one.

I'd love to say the first band I was into was the Smashing Pumpkins, as they are the ones that changed my life musically, but this was the first band where I actually tracked down all their albums until my collection was complete.

It's hard to say what my first album was.. either Trance Classics 1/2, Mudvayne's L.D. 50, or Eiffel 65's Europop. My first loved band was:
