here's their cover of Abba's Dancing Queen - YouTube - P - Dancing Queen
That cover was brilliant in it's awefulness I'm gonna look for that album.

Since I just saw Crazy Heart, I now know Jeff Bridges is a capable country singer. My GF loves this song here, the movie's theme song, although the version on the album is played by a Ryan Bingham. The music in the movie has of course more elaborate production. This is just Jeff and his guitar.

Rilo Kiley and 30 Seconds to Mars are obvious ones.

A lot of people don't realize Ricky Gervais was in a band in the '80s. I can't post the video right now because of work filters, but it's funny. You should look it up.

With a few exceptions, I don't really think he's a very good actor at all - very wooden and uncharismatic with most of the roles I've seen him in. Exceptions are the Man Who Fell To Earth (where he basically played himself anyway), Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence (even if Tom Conti steals the show with that one) and this...

^ It doesn't embed, so click twice to play. It's a 20 minute short film he wrote (directed by Julien 'Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle' Temple) as an extended promo for his Blue Jean single, and is actually surprisingly good stuff. If you've got plenty of time to kill, kick back and enjoy...
What? No mention of The Labyrinth?

And I'm asking that question without any hint of irony, I thought he was awesome in that movie.

Not a huge star in either music or acting, but she is always around. Juliette Lewis.

It seems like all actors eventually try to be become musicians (and usually suck at it, Russel Crowe) and then musicians try to become actors (and again, suck at it ex Andre 3000)

i guess some cross-over, but hey if you have the connections to go at it, I can't hate

I thought was just an unconfirmed rumour! If it is true that would indeed be funny!
