You've listened to it? What did you think about it?

I don't know, Boo Boo skipped over Asia in his essay. I guess he forgot about them in the heat of the moment.

Where's Milli Vanilli?
Yeah but then it wouldn't be controversial, which I assume sells more magazines.

This one didn't sell, though. I guess the list was either too ****ty or not ****ty enough.

Eh, I figured I covered enough of the prog related ones. I don't really like Asia, but it consists of some of my favorite musicians in the world (and some of Roger Dean's best artwork ever) and for that alone they shouldn't touch this list.

If an artist makes music that people enjoy listening to, can they really be cosidered "bad"? I mean, I guess at least a third of the stuff on that list seems like it was music made without much thought or only with moneymaking in mind but *why* should *I* care about the 49 mucisians Blender dislikes the most?

^I think you are wrong about it generally being a list of artists and musicians in it for the money. But ..

This is an interesting question I like to think all popular bands and artists have some sort of appeal - which explains their popularity. Whether you like them or not depends on whether or not you are able to tap into that appeal.

I actually like a lot of music that perhaps didn't appeal very much on the first listen. It took a bit more before I was able to really see what the appeal was. Since ELP is on this list, their 1971 album Tarkus is a perfect example. The 20 minutes long title track's attraction is not as immediate as that of most popular music, but if you can tap into it, you might end up loving it.
