That has to be one of the most overrated records ever. And '98? Talk about being late on the scene! Punk to Come? More like The Shape of Punk that Came (20 years ago)

Think it's supposed to be a reference to Ornette Coleman's "The Shape of Jazz to Come".

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.

I realize that and it's sad. The audacity of them to compare what they were doing to what Ornette did! Ornette's record was from the late 50's and really did lead jazz in a new direction.

True, but even then I consider Ornette being the egotistical one, and this just being a tongue in cheek reference.

Ornette backed it up.

I'd add 2010 to the poll since it's now past new years, but I'm afraid I'm not able to add more options. The poll is too large!

None. Music has never been as good as it is today. It's constantly growing and getting better.
