That filthy five they did nothing to challenge or resist" - Nick Cave: The Mercy Seat

Eric fell in love with an FBI informant
Shared his dreams of revolution
Now he's sitting in solitary confinement
Be careful what you think
Be careful what you say
It might be used against you in court one day
Well Anna thinks she's a hawk
She's just a fucking snitch
Anna is a Stool Pigeon - Tom Gabel

It's kind of angsty, but at the same time so whimsical.
Glad you enjoyed it. If your interested, their first album Candy Cigarettes and Cap Guns is just as good, but has more humor to it.

Ahem.

Heaven is full of fucking scum,
if they live like pigs they will die like one.
There will never be enough forgiveness.
St Peter I must confess, I'm more of a devil than my life suggests,
Tell god its appreciated but I was born in hell, hell is where we made it.
And if god is a great forgiver, then all the scum will be there with me.

-Gallows, The Great Forgiver

I've always loved the lyrics to Dylan's Like A Rolling Stone, particularly the 4th verse:

Princess on the steeple and all the pretty people
They’re drinkin’, thinkin’ that they got it made
Exchanging all kinds of precious gifts and things
But you’d better lift your diamond ring, you’d better pawn it babe
You used to be so amused
At Napoleon in rags and the language that he used
Go to him now, he calls you, you can’t refuse
When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose
You’re invisible now, you got no secrets to conceal
