Default Bands You Though You`d Never Like

Today I was listening to a compilation album & a song came on & i`m thinking 'Wow this is great , who is it?'

I grab the CD & find out what it is

Tale In A Hard Time by Fairport Convention

I do a double take

'No ****ing WAY!!!!'

This was about as far away from the twee beardly folk I was led to believe they played. Ironic really considering I was poking fun at them on here only yesterday.

So have you ever heard a song not knowing who it`s by & been in total shock when you find out who it is?

Oh and download that song , it`s really really good

on the Future Soundtrack of America they had a track by Sleater Kinney, they seemed like another fad garage band who snubbed a bassist, but "Off with your head" was pretty good.

Melt Bannana
My Morning Jacket
Neu!

Just for having stupid names

The Black Keys - I think anything with 'black' in the title I assume its probably some gloomy or gothic death metal band

Yeah okay so I'm judgemental, sue me

def leppard, id hated this band for ages without hearing when love and hate collide. i know its slightly cliche and a tad on the gorgonzla side, but im a fan of it. still not a fan of them though, sadly.
