Id like to hear ideas from 2000 and up.
I've read this thread from The OP to here, so I'm getting sick of the Radioheads and Green Days.

ah fair enough.

if it's 2000 and up then Animal Collective and The Strokes fo sho.

I'm also just gonna throw The Avalanches in there because Since I Left You will be a classic.

The Strokes were one of the first bands I got into. I still love Is This It to this very day. But since 2001, they're VERY mediocre.

I wouldn't say mediocre. Room on Fire was a good album and First Impressions of Earth wasn't bad. I'd say that in the future Is This It will be looked back as a fantastic rock album from the 00s and because of that The Strokes will be remembered.

Room on Fire was 3 stars out of 5 and First Impressions was 2 and a half. Is This It was near enough a classic garage rock album.

Their latest album will be the worst yet. The way they've recorded it is just bizarre. I fear they MIGHT be remembered, for a classic early 00s debut.. but they don't deserve to be.

Not doing it as a band. The band are doing the music, then Julian will come and do the vocals at a later date..
