Perhaps people should gain more knowledge before they slag off a band as it's all too easy to judge a band by one album

Okay, agreed, Aerosmith is a better example for what I was trying to say. It will now be known the "Aerosmith Effect".

80s music
Well its been over 25 years since the 80s and there are alot of good bands & artist that I could name from that era, I do agree that alot of the music that was cool back in the day (80s) now sounds something like the soundtrack off the movie 'scarface', out of date & cheesy, but at the same time the 80s would be a fun era of music to review, the list is just to long for me to name all the good bands from that decade that I personally liked.

to get back on topic. I would say about 75% of the music from today will still be talked about in 25 years which is unfortunate because we are living in one of the absolute worst times for music. I would take the 80's over the 00's any day of the week.

(Statement) "and all the old people who are going to buy their garbage already do". I dont mean to insult you sir, but I dont where you are going with this statement. As for 3 doors down, I get the feeling that you have never really listened to them very much. Let me try to make a little better point, for what it is worth, (I mean who am I to say). 3 doors down has written alot of ballads/easy listening singles that are very well done in my opinion. And Nickelback has done the exact same thing with they're songwriting, I would think that songs such as ballads that touch the heart by saying more about Love & emotions will survive easy. so in my opinion these type of songs are better remembered than alot of the heavy stuff, Who knows! these bands could stay together & make albums toghether for the next 25 years or more, or they may splinter off to other bands, We can debate more further on this subject if you wish my Brother, Rock On!
