This has to be one of the best covers I've ever heard... It's an opera singer covering Dave Matthews' song "#41" (singing and playing piano) while rehearsing for a recording, and they caught it on tape. Dave Matthews fans and fans of beautiful music altogether will absolutely love this... thank me later guys...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlfPkYJppoM You don't see too many opera singers covering non-opera songs... what's everyone think? Last edited by jmct; 02-16-2010 at 12:54 PM. Reason: forgot to add something |

Many of the younger (more attractive?) opera singers dabble with pop music. I saw Danielle de Niese singing in a very good soul voice with Mika recently. However I find as both an opera and rock fan that the range of an operatic soprano is a little high for pop, and this video illustrates it somewhat.
