If I had a time machine, I would go back to 1976-1983 era new york. Just an intensely creative period, so many things going on. Punk, no wave, all the art movements, birth of hip hop, etc.

London 60s. Yeah baby.

90s.. 90s.. 90s

Other. Manchester in the 80s (and late 70s)

Manchester in the 78-84 era methinks.

I was always under the impression the music from Manchester in the late 70s was as good as it was because it was inspired by the place itself being a total shithole back then.

That's what I've always been led to believe from the bands that came from that time & place anyway.

I like 90s Seattle... I would have liked to seen Nirvana live in their early years. But prefer NY late 80s early 90s, would have been cool to get a glimpse of that hip-hop.

But plenty of shi tholes don't spawn any interesting music.
