exactly. When I got my laptop I had to look forever for the certain albums I loved forever ago just incase it ever popped back into my head and I had a need to hear it. It took forever, and every now and then I think of a new one I have to try and find.

my itunes got wiped and i lost a lot in switching to a new computer
but ive been re-establishing it and its up to 22.55 gig now
nowhere near what i used to have though

i ahve a lot of cds as well...dont know how many though

Cd wise- almost 5,000(thats 95% 80s)
Record Wise- about 400(same % as above)

I have around 17gbs of mp3s. That's down from about 45gbs of mp3s. I spent the last few months going through my music and getting rid of all the BS.

I have a 160g iPod, which I have owned for nearly a year. I have only managed to get 110 g of music on it, so far. It's a long process. BUT, if you are speaking beyond that, I have 500 or so compact discs, and hundreds of LPs. No 8 tracks.
