You don't what you're missing, like reading liner notes, or booklets with lyrics and artwork; treating them with extra care, worrying you'll scratch the heck out of them - stuff like that.

holy ****, i am so ultra protective of my collection. i find it hard to let others look at them for fear of a folded booklet. i hold them on the edges...and if i could put my collection in a protective vacuum chamber, i would totally do it.

64.3 gb

constantly growing but i delete things i haven't listened to in a long time

significantly smaller amount of cds; i dont own a working record player and dont have much money.

i'd miss out on 99.9% of my music if i solely bought it

Not the faintest idea. My Music folder right now is a little over 3gb, there's a whole other set of songs on the other computer, and another set on the dead laptop. I have a good amount of CD's, plenty of cassette tapes, some records....

This.

Also, I just hit 40gb, I guess that's a big deal, because I'd have to vote for the next poll option. And considering I was at about 18 when I voted.

I'd rather waste my money on something else to be honest, something I'll get use out of, like clothes!
But seriously, I have other stuff to buy other than cd's.
I never play them either, and I don't give a **** about them. They just sit there.

Redundant and wrong yes, crucial no. What kayleigh suggested is already past tense.

Back on topic, when I move I'm buying a second tall bookcase to re-organize my CDs and actually be able to get to the back half. Ugh.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Somewhere between 180-200 GB, although I've since deleted upwards of 50 GB and lost a considerable bit to intermittent computer crashes. It'll be much easier with my new (larger) HD, in the process of transferring all my files now.

Physical media around 500-600 CDs, no lovely vinyl as of yet.
