I don't call people ignorant very often, but yo: you're ignorant. This is like saying Straight Outta Compton isn't essential because it sounds like every other West Coast album of that time. ATCQ were one of the first groups to pioneer the use of jazz samples in hip hop, if it wasn't for them and their contemporaries you'd still be listening to leather-clad proto-boy bands rapping over Donna Summers and James Brown.
