got their album "bows and arrows" and its true the rat is by far the best track. great song. house of savages is a cool song too but overall, though they have an amazing drummer, without the rat they wouldnt be anything special. its cool though how they seem to create this wall of unrelenting, constant sound.

Hmm...I was drawn to this thread, thinking there was a fellow cassette-lover out there. Guess it's not to be.

Seriously, though, I'll have to check them out. Never heard of them, but they sound interesting.

I've had You & Me for a while. I gave it an honest couple of listens and they didn't really grab me...apart from In the new year which has an amazing organ part (I'm pretty sure those are organs) which along with the lead singers wailing gives the song an amazing nostalgic vibe...The album itself is too long and after a while all the songs start to blend together....but that song is just really really good. It reminds me a bit of The Pogues...?

Oh yeah, and I just heard The rat and realized that I know that song...it's quite good...very different from anything on You & Me mind you...

I had "Bows and Arrows" and ended up getting rid of it. I found it very bland and I felt like it went on forever. On the few listens I gave it, I found myself constantly looking to see how many tracks were left until the album was over. That's never a good sign.
