There are tons, my vote for the moment goes to Speak, the Hungarian Rapper with his song "stop the war"

Oasis has a tendency to write meaningless or just plain idiotic lyrics, but Champagne Supernova takes the cake.

I'll just list a few bands/styles that have the worst lyrics I've ever read.

1. Staind - Their lyrics are almost always depressing like they were written so that even the passing 4th grader could get the "Please feel sorry for me" message and suddenly feel the need to be addicted to painkillers.
2. Saliva - Same as Staind.....Just watered down.
3. Almost all Gangsta rap songs - Just when you think that lyrical content couldn't get anymore dumb.....Please... put on a gangsta rap album and this will drag your IQ straight down to 0 with every other rhyme. All of these songs consist of 5 things -1. Words that don't exist in a Websters Dictionary, 2.Degrades women, 3. Murdering people, 4. Smoking blunts, 5. How to get paid by being a pimp or drug dealer.
4. Blur - I got my head checked...by a Jumbo Jet? What? I got my head done.....When I was young? WTH? is this english? :usehead:

Agreed, a stupid perspective indeed. Especially considering that most of the time that comment comes from the mouth of fans of bands like AC/DC, who's lyrics aren't exactly a positive message either. Since when has rock been tame and rap been evil? Just because you crackers can't relate doesn't mean what they're rapping about doesn't occur.
