There one of my favorites, even to this day. Voodoo U and Farstucker albums especially. But yeah...kinda a guilty pleasure. I don't try to introduce people to them, and they can be sorta embarrassing with how x-rated they are. I'd definitely blush if I played that album loudly around someone that hadn't heard it.

I sometimes just buy albums cause I like the Artwork, and sometimes I postpone listening to others cause their cover's lame.

Tool's 10,000 Days where you can look through the little eyeholes at the 3D images. I don't care if you think it's gimmicky or over-the-top, I think it's awesome.

Incorporating visual arts into their music isn't pretentious.

I've said this millions of times. Most of Tool's fans are pretentious morons. Tool themselves are not pretentious IMO.
