No disrespect to Brad Stengel who I normally agree with a lot of the time but putting them in would show this forum to be full of sheep who have no imagination whatsoever.

Can't you even find your own obscure mid 90s indie band to get excited about? there are ****ing thousands of them.

If I had to pick one album to listen to for the rest of my life, it would probably be ITAOTS. Simply perfect. I don't care how hipster it is to like it, Aeroplane is a fantastic album and that alone puts it ahead of half of the inductees that are already in. Their other stuff is fantastic as well. Big yes from me.

Ever heard of liking albums for what they are? You can hate their fanboys all you want, but mabe some of us feel it's actually a good album. There's a reason it's hyped, and that's because it's a good album.

I don't care if you feel it's a piece of crap, but at least understand that we actually like it.

Has there ever been an Indie record to reach the cult status that Aeroplane did?

Definitely not strong enough to gain a place, definitely not important enough to warrant a spot.

I like lots of albums for what they are.
I also like lots of good albums.

But in my opinion this is a hall of fame and just being good doesn't cut it.
I want any band in it to have at least one great genre changing album or at least one that can be considered the very best at what it is in it's chosen genre at the very least. I don't think NMH have done either.

You're right there is a reason it's hyped.
