I listened to that album today for the first time. Wasn't really impressed, to tell you the truth. I don't get what the big deal about it is. And I think that one track on there was pretty laughable: "IIIII LOOOOOOOOVE JEEESUUUUUUUUUUS."

The Beach Boys are through, next up from British Pharoah
Public Enemy Their politically charged lyrics criticising the US government and the media make them the number 1 Rap/Hip Hop outfit of all time in my eyes, no other Hip Hop artists can enter any music HOF (even one for the purpose of fun on an internet forum) before these icons. Hip Hop has unfortunately now become an outlet for young black men to spout off about how much money they have, how big their rims are and how violent they can be against other black men. PE got it right and now the genre and image of Hip Hop has been tainted by these Hip Hop posers and phoneys. |

Public Enemy gave me an alternative to NWA and other such faire and were a pipeline to other great rap artist like Above the Law and OutKast...I even saw them live...And when they did Bring the Noise with Anthrax that sealed it for me...I vote them in. Even if Flav is kind of a joke now.

Definite yes. Pioneers of socially conscious hip-hop, and the music was great.
