At first they're sweet; ten pounds later you realize they suck and you wasted that much of your life enduring them.

Beach Boys is a huge yes for me, not only for their work but their continuing influence and member collaborations.

It's a no from me, Pet Sounds is pleasant enough but only warrants occasional listening from me, not the classic everyone claims it is. They had lots of pop hits which again are nice enough but i never actually feel like listening to them. Far better pop bands out there that should be nominated i think.

I remember listening to them alot when I was five or six... I loved The Beach Boys. I really need to dig around my room for "Pet Sounds", Well anyways I do think they belong in the MB hall of fame.

It looks like they are getting in on the strength of one album basically. This place does surprise me sometimes.

I wouldn't mind if that one album actually lived up to its reputation (which I really don't think Pet Sounds does; not in the slightest). Sometimes a dozen perfect tracks are all it takes to immortalize an artist.
