Aggghhh!!! You can never quarantine the past.
Well, if its any consolation I voted yes in the end. When I first joined one of the first threads I saw was voting the Beatles in a hall of fame...so you can only imagine what I mustv'e assumed this forum was...another Beatles pandering music died after the 70's bore...thankfully I stuck around and realized that it wasnt. And I would like as a reward for voting yes for the Beatles in the end, everyone to forget I voted no in the first place, so I can smugly make criticisms on the elitism of some of the members on the forum. |

I haven't really seen any elitism in regards to Radiohead. I know their thread here is one of the most popular ones but there's still quite a few that don't like them and that's fine, they ain't everyones cup of tea.
All is forgiven anyway I really don't mind what way you vote as long as its nicely explained. |

PMO, stop being so adorable now please
This Hall of Fame thing is probably gonna turn out a certain way, sure, but it's the duty of discerning posters to fight it every step of the way without resorting to threats of disembowelment. Although threats of disembowelment always brighten up a good argument I find. rah. erm... can we change our votes? |

It does'nt matter whether every album works or not. They easily deserve to be in the hall of fame. A band that could have just put out replicas off the first two albums and sat back and chilled. They did'nt and fair play to them.

Yeah, whether or not theyre overrated, they deserve to be in without a doubt.
The Bends, OK Computer, and Kid A all have their seperate groups of fanboys, and there arent many bands that can say they put out TWO albums that well recieved, nevermind three. |

Easy yes for me. Brilliant band. They were willing to take risks and experiment and it resulted in fantastic music. I would say that they are definitely the seminal band of the last decade and a half or so.
