I said pretty much from the start that it's pointless counting 'No' votes against 'Yes' votes.

You need a huge number of Yes votes to get in just to counteract the 'No' votes. Because of this only safe artists will get in.

Let's just have a prerequisite number of Yes votes needed, say 15 or 20 and let them have a week to get to that total.
It'll totally freshen up this thread.

Maybe the "yes" should reach a certain percentage. Like say a group gets 17 "yes" votes vs. 13 "no" that 56.6%. Out of 30 votes, even though it's a four vote difference and it can be said they won by a majority, it isn't a very unaniamous decision to the other 14 voters. Shouldn't a reasonable percentage of the votes be the goal to reach for the artist to be accepted in the HoF? At least just for "safe" artist, then drop it for the unsafe or not-so-popular artist.

That sound like you should be a critic for the NME or Mojo or some other music rag.

Even though I don't brag that Jimi Hendrix is the greatest guitarist that ever lived, (I feel I might present myself as being bias) only because there's some unsung guitar player whose talent deserve the same amount of attention. I still find what he did extremely ingenious for his time period. Mastering the guitar doesn't come easy. He hone his skills playing with R&B bands on the Chitlin circuit. Developing the necessary skills to play guitar in one genre only later to use them in another only to reinventing it. His style is like an amalgamation of everything heard and learn but played the guitar in his own form of personal expression in such a way that made it uniquely his own.

Plus he was also a great song writer that wrote some of the moving songs in Rock, I think he done enough artisticly to overlook any so-called guitar wankery.

I hate to do it, but yes. As overrated as he is, he is an elite guitarist and is as innovative as anyone you can put him up against. Hard to find enough reasons to say no though.
