Well I do think Beefheart is overrated, TMR is a great album but I have to be in the mood for it and I rarely am nowadays, if I want to listen to some weird atonal avant garde stuff then I find artists like The Residents, Mr. Bungle, Glenn Branca and Henry Cow to be more satisfying. I have to appreciate Beefheart no matter what because he's influenced so many artists that I like, but it happens that I prefer a lot of these artists by a good deal.

Mr. Bungle (and mike patton in general) is pretty well liked on here from what I've read.
Also I'm abstaining from this round.
