I didn't think anyone cared about them, isn't that the inspiration for the music?

I dunno, I think the sharp breaths sometimes add to it. To a degree. Another artist who is known to have unedited, loud breathing on her records and during her live performances is Tori Amos. I think it can add to the intensity of the music in a way.

That being said... it is true that the more you keep your ear out listening to Bellamy's loud breathing the more noticeable and annoying it becomes!

Aint that the truth! I find I like Muse a whole lot better when I tune out and ignore the breathing thing I must admit....

I voted yes. I think they're loved by enough people here on MB that they deserve a place, even though I am far from being their biggest fan...

I've labored the breathhing point a bit too far before on the Muse board, so I will decline to comment further...suffice to reiterate, the more you ignore it, the more it goes away...

Haha, just by listening to Matt's singing you can tell he's a complete asshole.

I know he's an asshole, but I really don't see that.

It's kinda hard to explain, he's a talented singer, but there's a certain vibe about it that just rubs me the wrong way.

It's never stopped me from enjoying Muse though.
