I thought you liked punk. No? Didn't one of your old usernames have something to do with the Misfits?

ok, that's what i was saying; that's a legitimate reason. but not liking his music because, quote "He watched girls pee"(refer to one of the previous posts) doesn't pertain to even listening to it. and this isn't an attack on you, don't get me wrong, but can you at least see what i'm saying?

Cause punk fully owes itself to Chuck Berry, and I know I don't need to explain the roots of scramz to you.
I haven't listened to Circle Takes the Square or much emo in general for about five months.

I haven't listened to the Misfits or punk in even longer. Minus the occasional Crass or Dead Kennedys album but that's more the exception rather than the rule.

Big3 had other reasons besides the one you keep referring to. I assume the "he watched girls pee" was intended as a joke. I laughed at least.

You completely rule out an entire genre of music that you like because you haven't listened to it in half a year? Weird. I have stuff I probably haven't listened to in close to a decade, it doesn't mean I don't like it or that it didn't impact my subsequent choices in music.

If Chuck Berry dosen't get voted in, I'll consider it an even bigger tragedy than Yes not getting in.

At least I understood why Yes didn't get in, despite how strongly they deserved it in my opinion.

Subjective opinion effects my votes somewhat but I mostly think about the impact and contributions of that artist, Berry has done more for the development of rock music than, well pretty much anyone.

I'm not a huge Berry fan either, but this is a bunch of inconsistant bullsh*t, at least half of those who voted against Yes getting in were people who liked Yes but (stupidly) thought they didn't contribute enough to rock music to get in, and now Chuck Berry risks not making it for the exact opposite reason?

Boo Boo, I feel your pain. Rezz voted against waits because a bunch of no-name muscians weren't voted in first. I've been rebelling against this voting system since them.

I asked a huge question that never got answered about why people aren't submitting smaller artists and it never got answered. There isn't a consistency, its the way it goes.

well thats what i'm saying. you can't pull a win out without a sacred cow, so why bother. if thats the system, it should be reworked.
