Hall of Fame dude. That's just the way it is.

Yes Chuck Berry deserves to be in. (not to be confused with Buck Cherry, a tasteless play on words)

Yes, but again, is this just going through the motions or are there controversies ahead?

Absolute yes to Chuck Berry. Not only is he one of the most influential people in the history of rock but stuff he recorded fifty years ago still has an edge to this day.

It's a yes from this end too. It's not like he's blaring out of my speakers every waking hour, but you just can't deny him a spot really.

No from me for a simple reason.

This is supposed to be the Musicbanter hall of fame. I don't see the point of putting in someone who's hardly ever talked about here. I did a search , there's one Chuck Berry thread. It had 5 posts in it & none are from regular members.
I'm not denying his importance in music history but his influence in this forum is virtually zero.

It's no from me i'm afraid, simply because i never listen to the dude nor do i feel bad for particularly neglecting him.

No I don't really have much interest in that style of music and he bores me.

Not really seeing as though I could rig the poll if I wished.

Music has a terrible way of acting like someone who was original is therefore great. His contemporaries smoked him in just about every fashion. I think his songs were medicore at best, and if we're going to get hopped up on the PC pill, he wasn't even the best black guy playing back then. Little Richard and Bo Diddly were miles ahead.

Also, He watched girls pee.
