I think it would be better to have a prerequisite number of yes votes needed to get in (say 10,15,20 ...whatever )rather than have yes/no votes , otherwise it is only going to be safe stuff that gets in due to the large number of no votes that any left field or controversial artist will inevitably get.
That way you're focusing on the positive rather than the negative.

Yes from me, "Songs About ****ing" is not only a great album, but I hear echoes of it in ALOT of music since. I'd say industrial music in general owes Big Black as much as it does Killing Joke.

Also it would be pretty hilarious to see a poll with one option. The easiest way to keep these safe artists out of the polls is pretty simple: just don't nominate them.

So you're saying you also would like to see some actually discussion?
I think we'd need a majority as the defining feature for those acts to get in?

I love big black their pretty sick, although i am too young to really see much of their influences they do seem ahead of their time ( although i see an influence on nirvana especially with songs like heartbreak on "The Hammer Party" (Thank god for megaupload best source for music besides torrents) ) anyways its a Yes for me

Big Black are in and i'm a happy little dude!
Next up from Big3 Tom Waits After Four decades of musical excellence, and a catalouge that has never comprimised, Tom Waits stands as one of the most enduringly intriguing artists in the modern landscape. Confident enough to sing, arrange, and perform whatever comes to mind, Waits is and has only ever been limited by his imagination, and the prism of experience it shines through. |
