I don't do drugs but judging by what everyone is saying, I wonder how Ambient like Hammock or The Sight Below would be

I'm actually starting to notice that industrial (electro, rock, metal, whatever) music is pretty good to listen to when you're high.

Whenever i'm baked I listen to Kyuss there Blues for the Red Sun album is pretty much orgasmic. I also suggest DJ Shadow his album Entroducing is awesome, very sick beats and samples. As for genre's that sound good while baked Dub Step, Electronica and Techno/House sound great it's sensory overload. Hip Hop sounds pretty good depending on the samples. As for Rock I suggest Desert Rock and Progressive. By the way anyone have any good suggestions for music that sounds good while tripping?

Depends on the trip. Of course music like Shpongle and Hallucinogen will be ****ing insane. I strangely found stuff like Dirty Elegance's Finding Beauty in the Wretched to be good - trip-hop type stuff with a good beat and some really interesting melodies. Old psychedelic rock is, of course, great. Try stuff like The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Grateful Dead... also, albums that tell a story can be good because you can really get sucked in. I found Deltron 3030 to be amazing. Anything works though, songs you love normally will be even more amazing. But, shy away from anything too crazy (noise rock, metal, experimental rock) because it's just too much. Especially if you're taking shrooms. Oh, and get some Sun Araw. I didn't know them back then but... I garuantee it's about one of the best bands you can listen to if you're taking acid.

Bumpity Bump Bump...

I came across this thread a while ago, checked out some of the artists and I got some pretty cool trips.

With a new generation of 2010ers and 2011ers, I want to find more music that people enjoy lighting up to...so share your music, don't hog all that good stuff up!

Me -
Pink Floyd's - Meddle

You can never go wrong with Floyd and grass, they go along together amazing. This album is very underrated though, people usually reach for Dark Side of The Moon, Animals, or Wish You Were Here. I plugged this album in through my Vox amp, the one with all the presets and effects, and it was one of the best trips I have ever had. Fearless was one of the greatest mind****s, I turned on various effects such as phaser, delay, reverb, it just made it sound like I was laying down at a Pink Floyd concert face down with my eyes closed. The 20 minute song Echoes is one of my favorite songs of all time, high or not, it's just a masterpiece.

Ozric Tentacles' - Waterfall Cities

2011 had a great start for me, when I discovered this band which has now grown to be one of my favorite bands. With over 20 albums to choose from, each one provides a different mood for when you are high. This one I found getting myself lost in all the different instruments and rhythms going on. It was overwhelming. My brother, baked aas hell, began questioning me on how this music has even possible, and how 4 people can make music as good as this. Great album, fantastic band.

Midnight Landing - 10ft Ganja Plant

Once again, thank you to jackhammer for showing me this amazing group. If you want to light up, and sit back on your couch, and just chill the **** out, than this album is for you. It begins with a pretty mellow tune, but slowly builds up into a magical album that takes you to paradise. With gems like Shine Dub, Righteous Dub, and Sweet Country, this album is perfect for a get together with some friends, and just chill back and be blown away by this amazing music. (Be ready to get stuck to your couch for a while)
