'no junk, no soul..'
Most of the time druggie musicians are able to dig deeper within themselves because they know that pain, the highs and lows that come with being an addict. Dont get me wrong, drugs arent responsible for creative genius, meaning a no talent loser is still a no talent loser even if he takes drugs. But when a genius uses drugs, a lot of the time timeless art is produced. Need examples? Charlie parker, the most brilliant alto sax player to ever exist shot up heroin and drank like a fish. Bob dylan and Johnny Cash were speeding out of their minds. Do I even need to mention the Morrisons, the Hendrixes, the Cobains.. all these straight edge, clean and sober musicians nowadays disturbs me. I guess thats why music today is boring as hell Last edited by bogey_j; 01-03-2010 at 04:57 PM. |
