as for myself i'm another one of the many pepperheads on the board. only it was the 'Jungle Man' single in my case. doesn't mean i didn't play the crap out of BSSM when it came out a few years later though. i had heard other music before, and i had followed the misguided path of 'getting into' the same stuff as my old man in a foolish belief of listening to 'good/right' music, but the chili peppers were the first time i heard MY music and nothing else was the same after that fateful night back in grade 9. |
Oasis when i was 10 years old. Before that i liked some MJ and awful, cheesy, early 90's dance music but wasnt big into music yet. Inreally got into music very quickly afterwards.

The Beatles probably, at the age of 13 or 14. I discovered my dad's CDs (the blue and red albums), and was hooked quite quickly. It took me a while to expand my listening habits to The Beatles' studio albums, and then to the stray Dylan or Stones track, before fully embracing the 60's. Before my discovery of The Beatles I was hardly listening to music at all, except for whatever happened to be on the radio.

Oasis back in 96, the good ol days:)
