Solo gig help?
I've a small scale solo gig upcoming locally, and it's my first time without the band... so I need help narrowing down which songs to play.
These are the ones I like best... narrow it down to the best two or three for me? "Forever Young" -Bob Dylan (Minus the rapping ending part...) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSy2jbGB-Do "Like A Rolling Stone" -Bob Dylan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yu0SQrAX9u0 "A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall" -Bob Dylan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axGwD9B8SxY "Mr. Tambourine Man" -Bob Dylan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7nHsmIN2tQ "I Love You (But You're Green)" -Pete Doherty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tn3inwwLzhc "Can't Stand Me Now" -The Libertines http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVNdV5bNXyM "You're My Waterloo" -The Libertines http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5O-yCEgQps "The Whole World Is Our Playground" -Pete Doherty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gi1zVfpy8F8 OR if there's anything better you'd suggest, but I am an indie rokker looking to play a few slow, good solo songs. |

Merry Christmas, Harry!
I see you are have some Bob Dylan, (I was never big on Bob) but I do admire people who do his cover songs (I'm a big fan of the Byrds, and Steve Howe even has an Dylan album and maybe the Ventures, I forget) but anyway Nick Lowe is my Bob Dylan, I think this a great song, I've seen some performances where he ditched his band, and does solo stuff like you. I love original version too, the Rumour was actually the back up band for Elvis Costello (Declan Patrick MacManus) anyway I hope you like it and I am sure you can find chords on some tab web site - goodluck! =] What's so funny about peace, love and understanding?- Nick Lowe
